Migration guide: Shopify
Wholesale Gorilla to Crate
Wholesale Gorilla edits your Shopify theme and charges $69.95/month for net terms and CSV price upload. Crate Growth is $80/month for up to 50 buyers, with a separate branded portal and no theme work.
Wholesale Gorilla runs wholesale inside your Shopify theme. Crate gives buyers a separate wholesale portal connected to your Shopify catalog, so retail and wholesale stop sharing one storefront.

Why businesses pick Crate over Wholesale Gorilla
- Net terms and payment terms are in Wholesale Gorilla's Advanced and Premium plans, $69.95 and $149.95 a month. Crate puts payment terms on every account from $50/month.
- A dedicated wholesale portal on your own custom domain, so you never edit your retail theme for wholesale.
- Individual prices for each account, plus private-label products only chosen customers can see.
- Standing orders buyers manage themselves (Growth), and invoices through Shopify, QuickBooks Online or Crate.
- Roaster tools on top: roast weekdays, order cutoffs and a production sheet that sums orders by product.
Wholesale Gorilla may still fit if you only need a few hidden prices inside your existing theme.

See Crate plans Crate vs Wholesale Gorilla, feature by featureSwitching is quick: four steps
Crate imports your Shopify, Square or Clover catalog, and reads customer and product spreadsheets in any column layout. Run both tools side by side until it looks right.
- 01
Connect your store or upload products
Connect Shopify, Square or Clover and your catalog syncs into Crate, variations included. No store? Upload a product spreadsheet with a name and price for each item.
- 02
Upload your customer list
Upload the customer export as a CSV, in whatever column layout your old tool produced. Crate matches the columns for you. Each wholesale account needs a business name and an email. Choose their payment terms, such as Net 30, as you import.
- 03
Set each account's prices
Recreate your price lists and individual customer prices in Crate. Send us your price export and we will help you set them up.
- 04
Invite buyers when you are ready
Run both tools side by side while you check prices. When it looks right, send each buyer an invite to their portal. They set a password and order from their own portal.
Keep in mind
- Remove wholesale tags only after your buyers have moved, so retail prices never show to a wholesale account by mistake.
