Orderspace to Crate

Orderspace starts at $65/month and its own-domain option starts at $95/month. Crate Starter is $50/month and Growth is $80/month, with catalog sync from Square, Shopify and Clover.

Orderspace is a standalone B2B ordering site. Crate does the same job and also syncs with your Square, Shopify or Clover catalog, so wholesale and retail share one product list.

Why businesses pick Crate over Orderspace

  • Lower price: Crate Starter is $50/month against Orderspace Ordering at $65/month, and Growth at $80/month is under their $95 own-domain plan.
  • Your Square, Shopify or Clover catalog syncs in, so wholesale and retail share one product list.
  • Per-customer prices, private-label products and payment terms per customer.
  • Standing orders buyers manage themselves (Growth), and invoices through QuickBooks Online, Shopify or Crate.
  • Roaster tools: roast weekdays, order cutoffs, roast date on orders and a production sheet.

Orderspace may still fit if you do not run Square, Shopify or Clover and only need basic ordering.

Switching is quick: four steps

Crate imports your Shopify, Square or Clover catalog, and reads customer and product spreadsheets in any column layout. Run both tools side by side until it looks right.

  1. 01

Connect your store or upload products

Connect Shopify, Square or Clover and your catalog syncs into Crate, variations included. No store? Upload a product spreadsheet with a name and price for each item.

  2. 02

    Upload your customer list

Upload the customer export as a CSV, in whatever column layout your old tool produced. Crate matches the columns for you. Each wholesale account needs a business name and an email. Choose their payment terms, such as Net 30, as you import.

  3. 03

    Set each account's prices

Recreate your price lists and individual customer prices in Crate. Send us your price export and we will help you set them up.

  4. 04

Invite buyers when you are ready

Run both tools side by side while you check prices. When it looks right, send each buyer an invite to their portal. They set a password and order from their own portal.

Keep in mind

  • Keep the order CSV for your records. Crate starts new order history from your switch date.
