Now Commerce to Crate
Now Commerce's B2B Customer Portal is $280/month. Crate Wholesale is $50/month for up to 10 buyers and $80/month for up to 50, and keeps your QuickBooks Online invoicing.
Now Commerce is a B2B portal built around QuickBooks. Crate keeps QuickBooks Online for invoices and also connects to Shopify, Square or Clover, so your catalog comes from the store you already run.

Why businesses pick Crate over Now Commerce
- Save at least $200/month against the B2B Customer Portal at $280, even on Crate Growth.
- Your catalog comes from Shopify, Square or Clover as well as QuickBooks Online.
- A branded portal on your own domain, per-customer prices and private-label products for chosen customers.
- Standing orders (Growth), buyer applications and an email-to-order inbox, in the same portal.
- Roaster tools: roast weekdays, order cutoffs and a production sheet.
Now Commerce may still fit if you need QuickBooks Desktop, which Crate does not support.

See Crate plans Crate vs Now Commerce, feature by featureSwitching is quick: four steps
Crate imports your Shopify, Square or Clover catalog, and reads customer and product spreadsheets in any column layout. Run both tools side by side until it looks right.
- 01
Connect your store or upload products
Connect Shopify, Square or Clover and your catalog syncs into Crate, variations included. No store? Upload a product spreadsheet with a name and price for each item.
- 02
Upload your customer list
Upload the customer export as a CSV, in whatever column layout your old tool produced. Crate matches the columns for you. Each wholesale account needs a business name and an email. Choose their payment terms, such as Net 30, as you import.
- 03
Set each account's prices
Recreate your price lists and individual customer prices in Crate. Send us your price export and we will help you set them up.
- 04
Invite buyers when you are ready
Run both tools side by side while you check prices. When it looks right, send each buyer an invite to their portal. They set a password and order from their own portal.
Keep in mind
- Crate connects to QuickBooks Online. QuickBooks Desktop is not supported.
- Pick one cutover date for invoice numbering so QuickBooks never gets two numbering schemes.
